Impact StartUp is a six-month accelerator program for early stage impact entrepreneurs. The program focuses on developing sustainable business models, impact management, strategies for scaling and access to financing for every development stage. The accelerator model was founded in Denmark, developed in Norway and is now being rolled out across the Nordics. The Swedish programs run in Stockholm and Malmö to start with.
The next program starts in January 2020.
Who can apply?
Before you apply, look through the requirements below.
We expect you to:
• have an established business whose main objective is to solve a social problem
• have ambitious plans for growth and scaling
• have the business as main employment
• have sold the product or service to at least one customer or have carried out a pilot (proof of concept)
You need to be:
• two people from the business who are willing to set aside the time required to participate in all activities included in the accelerator program
• able to arrange and pay for the trips to program’s four camps and DemoDay yourself.

About the program
Impact StartUp is an accelerator program for early stage organizations that hold solutions to society’s biggest challenges.
The programs take place from January to June in Stockholm and Malmö. In order to participate, you have to be able to be present for camps and meetings with your business developer. The founder and /or general manager of each organization has to participate in all of the program activities and every organization should have at least two representatives present for camps.
30 organizations are invited to participate in a three-day Bootcamp in mid-January. At this Bootcamp, you develop your business model together with skilled business developers, you refine your value proposition and get coaching in how to pitch. On the last day you pitch to a panel of financing partners, impact investors and potential customers. At the end of the Bootcamp, 10 organizations are selected to participate in the accelerator program.
During the accelerator program you get shoulder to shoulder coaching in taking your solution and your organization to a financially sustainable, investable and impact maximizing enterprise. Your business developers have dedicated 100 hours to support you and you get intense training and possibilities to interact with the other participants in the thematic Camps that are held in February or March, in April and in May.
Camps are focused on business modelling, your theory of change, impact management, value proposition, financing, sales, marketing, management, and impact measurement systems. In between Camps, you put what you have learned in to practice, supported by your business developer.
In parallell with the accelerator program we work actively with investors to make them ready to invest in impact startups. We provide knowledge, tools and templates to initiate contact, due diligence and invest in or finance impact startups.
The Accelerator Program and Investor Track are united at DemoDay in June, where the participants pitch to investors, customers and strategic partners.
AlumniTrack and Investment Services
After the end of the program we will still be there. We continue to follow the participants from a distance and are there with strategic advice, network and services. For example, we can assist both the impact organization and the investors or funders in a due diligence and negotiation process providing support and knowledge to make the deal happen.
